Hawkes
Bay
A land unto itself, seperated
on one side by vast mountainous ranges and on the other by the mighty
expanses of the Pacific Ocean. This hidden part of Aotearoa is not
only steap in moari legend but blessed with a natural beauty which
is only found in a few earthly places. For millions of years the elements
have broken and carved away at the earth. This has formed a place
of lush, fertile plains and rivers flowing plentyful with fish. It
was natures gifts such as these that first attracted the Maori, and
then the European settlers.

is being drawn to the bay. A person who has heard of the bountiful
harvest of attractions and oppurtunities to explorer, taste and experience
nature at it's best. Whether it be Gannet tours at the cape, the twin
cities architectural heritage or simply enjoying the cafe life, while
soaking up some sun. No matter what your tastes are, you are sure
to be pleased with the sites and delights that lie ahead for you in
Hawkes Bay.
Over the past few years the popularity and interest
in Hawkes Bay (or 'the bay' as it is locally known) as a tourist destination
has increased immensely. As more poeple search for new and seemingly
untouched places to explore, this region is becoming their point of
focus. The people of Hawkes Bay have known for quite some time that
they have been living in a naturally rich part of New Zealand and
are now opening it up for the world to see...
